At Dakota Bordoodles & Bernedoodles, our mission is to provide families with healthy and happy puppies who will become cherished members of their families. We are dedicated to ethical breeding practices and prioritize the wellbeing of our dogs and puppies above all else. Our journey began when we fell in love with the border collie. We recognized the need for a responsible breeder in South Dakota and decided to establish Dakota Bordoodles & Bernedoodles. Our passion for these breeds and our commitment to ethical breeding practices drive everything we do. We aim to provide families with a positive and transparent experience when adopting one of our puppies. We will work with you to ensure that your new puppy is a perfect fit for your family and lifestyle.
OUR MISSION
We do not breed large numbers of dogs so we can stay smaller and more involved with each of our adults, as well as the puppies, on a daily basis. We feel very strongly about selling the 'perfect' family dog and feel you can't do better than a bordoodle or bernedoodle.
FAMILY RAISED PUPPIES
At Dakota Bordoodles & Bernedoodles we believe in raising our pups in our home. We love our doodles like part of the family and feel its essential to give them the best start. We use the Misty Method potty training and are implementing Puppy Culture into our program.

"We reached out to Amy at Dakota Bordoodles & Bernedoodles when we saw Trixie’s 6 week photo and fell in love. Amy was quick to respond and so easy to talk to. Amy cares for her pups and wants to make sure they are going to a good home with good people. Right before Trixie was going to come home, we got a phone call from Amy that Trixie was playing and injured her leg. That right there told us how honest Amy is. She didn’t have to say a word to us, but she did. After she was cleared by the vet, she came home to us.
Trixie is extremely smart and easy to train. She was potty trained in a month or less. She has gone through puppy, basic, intermediate, advance training and received her Canine Good Citizenship certificate.
Trixie loves to learn new things. She uses talking buttons to communicate when she needs water, wants to go outside and play (so far).
She has a very sweet temperament, easy to travel with and loves people. She loves RVing with us, hiking and meeting many new people. Thanks to Amy and Dakota Bordoodles we have a great pup.

"Matti has adjusted so well to our family! We love her so much! She loves to play fetch, is doing much better with potty training (she'll even scratch at the door sometimes when she has to go), and she has started following me inside, or running inside when I do my whistle or say 'inside'! She loves her toy bin and drags them all out each morning. I gave her her first haircut last week. That was more work than I anticipated - so much fur - but she did well with it. She ate her bully stick while I cut her hair. She loves the lake, being by the water, and all of the other dogs that stop by to say hello. She has been the perfect addition to our family.
